Diversity and Refuge Event

On Thursday 4th July we hosted our first diversity and refuge event in the school hall. We were delighted that so many attended and enjoyed our immersive exhibition hosted by Class 3. It was fantastic to share food, activities and music with everyone.

The biggest success was seeing the pupils confident, engaged and proud to share their learning.

This was the start of our journey to become a School of Sanctuary. We believe that by living our school values we can be a key part of a network of schools that supports thousands of young people seeking sanctuary in the UK.

Who Are We

The school vision at St Ethelwold's VA School is to: "Be The Best You Can" "Bwddwch eich gorau". This vision cascades throughout the fabric of the school and is central to the work of the school. The school community believes that a strong commitment to effort will lead to high standards of attainment and achievement and also to the important life skills of perseverance and resilience. Effort will be both reported on and rewarded.
